About the CInsects
The CInsects are a losely-organized student group at Universität Hamburg that meets regularly to discuss issues in IT security. If you want to visit us, just drop by at our weekly meeting in the security lab (Informatikum, F-027, see below for the currently appointed day). We always warmly welcome new people, no matter if you just want to get an impression, chat with people about security or plan to contribute in long term.
We also like to play Capture The Flag security competitions (short: CTFs). There are some writeups of the challenges we solved during CTFs on this site. You can always join us at CTFs, just come along during a competition. There is no formal membership or alike.
If you want regular announcements regarding the CInsects you can subscribe to our mailing list. We also use it to announce the participation at CTFs. For convenience, you can also subscribe to our calendar via ICS to get current events. Furthermore, we have a Mattermost team that you can join.
And a final remark: We don't hack anybody or anything for you, so don't ask.
In the winter term 2021/22, our meetings take place on Wednesdays at 18:00 in room F-027.
We irregularly organize the CInsects CTF, which is an attack/defense CTF.
